I create figurative, abstract, impressionistic pieces that sit between the surreal and the familiar.

Coming from a background in design, I approach painting with a focus on form and visual rhythm. Rather than pursuing realism, I prioritise distorting and reshaping features to express atmosphere and emotions instead of likeness.

2. Both oil, acrylic & aerosol on canvas 81.5 x 101 cm

I aim for the paintings to invite the viewer to slow down and engage, discovering personal meaning within unfamiliar faces and forms. The surfaces are built through layered applications of oil, acrylic, and aerosol, creating variations in sheen that reveal themselves when viewed from different angles, lighting, spaces and time.
